Long Bay Beach Club is on Tortola’s North Shore. Many consider this a best-kept secret and a special find for a relatively inexpensive resort with spacious rooms, ocean views and beach front access. You can easily roll out of bed right onto a mile-long stretch of sandy white beach. And if you are lucky like we were – you will experience a rainbow or two right outside your window.
If you are looking for some R&R Long Bay Beach Club is the place to be. Sun-worshippers snuggle up on cozy lounge chairs on a beach that stretches out to the left and right, perfect for those that love taking long walks hand-in-hand sunrise and sunset.
The resort has a charming outdoor restaurant that overlooks the sea, with the soothing sounds of waves making dining a romantic experience breakfast, lunch and dinner. A gentle breeze, a luscious rum libation, some good eats, a sandy white beach… life is good at Long Bay Beach Club!
Accommodations range from on-the-beach cabanas or spacious beachfront deluxe room. The overall decor is plantation style and you will be happy to hear the rooms are quite large and very comfortable. Note: If you are more of a pool person, you are out of luck. Apparently there was a riff between the resort and their sister condos and having parted ways (and dividing the two), the condo won rights to the pool. The resort promised a new pool to be built soon.
After enjoying a couple of days of sunning, reading, and swimming, we decided it was time to hop on a ferry or two to explore the other islands like Virgin Gorda, Peter Island and Jost Van Dyke. Now we understand why so many people come to BVI over and over – there is something for everyone and coming from NY, the 3.5 hour flight is a piece of cake!
