A long dusty dirt road leads to a field of green surrounded by trees, various flower beds and a majestic mountain view. A festive turquoise-colored home stands boldly among the surrounding environment. A screened in vegetable garden and an inviting table setting hint of the special soiree before us. An eclectic group of people gather with offerings of home-cooked dishes, dessert and drinks. True farm to table. I brought one of my favorite dishes: chicken & beef satay with a peanut dipping sauce. The party is about to begin – I already know this will be filed away as one of my favorite summer soirees.
