British Virgin Islands Here I Come

BVI here I come! I first heard of the British Virgin Islands when I came across Richard Branson’s stunning island and villa at ]Necker Island (a destination that still sits at the top part of my bucket list). So I finally made it there and loved every minute of it – I already look forward to another visit next year.  Made up of sixty islands surrounded by crystalline turquoise waters, the British Virgin Islands is a mecca for sailors, divers and island loving tourists from around the world.

A great choice for a romantic get-away for two, the archipelago is lovingly referred to as BVI, “Nature’s Little Secrets”. With an array of National Parks, stunning shorelines, surfing hotspots, boating activities, and coral reefs for amazing diving and snorkeling adventures – there is much to do on the islands. Or, if you prefer, you can do nothing more than lounge around on pristine white sand beaches – we all know sun, surf and sand does wonders for your soul!

What a wonderful surprise to find many of the island’s beaches, especially those off the beaten-track, can be found without sight and sound of anyone else around you. Dining is often a carefree experience without long lines or painfully slow service. Don’t get me wrong – we are indeed on island time, but once you resign yourself to go with the flow you will happily toast the heavens above for these best kept “little secrets” all around you.
